Celebrate Sydney WorldPride at the Hyde Park Barracks. The UNESCO World Heritage-listed site will be transformed with a series of queer artist activations, sharing our complex history in a contemporary way.
Over five nights, the Barracks building will be illuminated with kaleidoscopic light projections that amplify and uncover diverse stories under the title Queer in Warrane.
Experience the world premiere of Dylan Mooney’s light artwork, Still here and thriving. Focussing on love in queer communities. Large scale portraits will be exploring identity, desire, and representation from Dylan’s lived experience as a proud, queer Indigenous man.
Creative Producer, Jacqui North will bring to life the tale of Oscar Wilde, Lord Douglas and his mysterious lover with Love that Dares and invites audiences to experience a rainbow light ‘waterfall’ with Shine. Jacqui’s series of six light artworks bring art to the street offering reconnection and immersion.
Enjoy free daytime entry all week to the Hyde Park Barracks Museum, alongside artist talks and queer-focused tours that will stimulate the senses.
