Brenda Rodriguez Alegre is among the Board of Directors of STRAP (The Society of Transsexual Women Advocates of the Philippines).  She is a lecturer at the University of Hong Kong, Gender Studies.  As an advocate for LGBTQI , she has been featured in TV and radio programs. In 2018, Brenda was awarded the LGBT + Public Champion in Hong Kong and participated at the United Nations Human Rights Council in June of that year. Brenda holds a PhD in psychology. Her research focus is on the intersections of culture, religions, faith and cultural ideologies with genders and sexualities. She is a choir soprano.
