First Nations Gathering Space
Thu Feb 23 - Tue Feb 28
Thu Feb 23 - Tue Feb 28
The First Nations Gathering Space is a First Nations led and curated hub of entertainment, art, installations, food and more that has something for the whole family.
It will be a First Nations LGBTQIA+ cultural wonderland that you enter into, participate in and leave changed. It is the heart of the Festival!
This is a place to gather. To connect with others. To share meals. Chill Out. Reflect.
The Opening Night event will include a beautifully curated Welcome and Smoking Ceremony, honouring the First People of the Sydney region while also acknowledging all Australian and international First Nations peoples.
The First Nations Gathering Space will also offer panel talks, yarning circles and truth telling opportunities.
This is where you will see a spectacular showcase of First Nations artistry in a jam-packed program of both free and ticketed events.
From the intimate to the epic, The First Nations Gathering Space will celebrate LGBTQIA+ First Nations arts and culture in a way that has not been experienced previously in Australia. It will expand minds, open hearts and leave an enduring legacy for WorldPride events to come.
