Be part of history as we walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge for global equality, celebrating all that has been achieved, and conscious of the work still to be done.

50,000 people in their brightest colours will walk across the iconic landmark (north to south), in a powerful international statement of visibility – we are here, we are united and we will be relentless in our demand for equality not only in Australia, but for all LGBTQIA+ people around the world. Join hands with your friends, your family and your chosen family to draw strength and joy from the community that surrounds you on this summer morning on Sydney Harbour.

Closure of the Sydney Harbour Bridge for a march is exceedingly rare, most notably the Walk for Reconciliation in the year 2000. As we march for equality, we also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Australian Gay Pride Week, the 45th anniversary of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and the 5th anniversary of marriage equality in Australia. We also acknowledge the Australian LGBTQIA+ experience is in stark contrast to many of our rainbow family in the Asia-Pacific, and we will use our voice to speak for those who cannot.

Pride March is a free event, with entry via ballot. Subscribe to our mailing list to be the first to find out when the ballot opens. Both locals and visitors will be able to enter the ballot.

The ballot will be drawn in early 2023 with timed-entry passes allocated to successful entrants. Each ballot winner will be able to elect to accept 1 or 2 tickets. Unclaimed tickets will automatically go into subsequent draws until all 50,000 passes are allocated.

All LGBTQIA+ community and allies welcome, of all ages.
