The final 70 presenters have been confirmed for Sydney WorldPride’s Human Rights Conference, with feminist icon and musician Peaches taking part in a fireside chat.

With one month to go until the largest LGBTQIA+ human rights conference of its kind in the Asia Pacific, Peaches joins a prestigious line-up of more than 200 presenters from across the globe to discuss the most important human rights issues facing the community and to push for tangible action.

Presenters include Victor Madrigal-Borloz, the UN’s Independent Expert on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity, Senator Sarah McBride, the US’s first openly transgender State Senator, and Jessica Stern, the US Special Envoy to Advance the Human Rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI+) Persons. The conference will bring together 1,500 community leaders, activists, politicians and human rights experts from countries as diverse as Indonesia, the UK, South Africa, Germany and Fiji for three days of talks, panel discussions and workshops about the key human rights issues affecting LGBTQIA+ people.

Held at the ICC Sydney from 1 to 3 März 2023, topics at the Sydney WorldPride Human Rights Conference will include trans and gender diverse representation in sport, the ending of unnecessary medical procedures on intersex people without their consent, and ending conversion practices.
