Dr Clara Tuck Meng Soo (she/her)

Dr Clara Tuck Meng Soo is a general practitioner In Canberra. She has worked with patients from many population groups with complex needs including the LGBTIQA+ community, people living with HIV, the culturally and linguistically diverse community as well as people with drug dependencies. Clara has provided care to the transgender community in Canberra for more than 20 years and started her own journey to gender transition in 2017. Clara now leads two general practices in Canberra, both of which are proudly LGBTIQA+-friendly and train the next generation of medical doctors. In 2016, Clara was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for her services as a medical practitioner to the community of the Australian Capital Territory. This was returned in 2021 in protest against the upgrade of Margaret Court’s Companion of the Order of Australia.
Clara is the President of AusPATH, our national peak body representing, supporting, and connecting those working to strengthen the health, rights and wellbeing of all trans people – binary and non-binary.
