The MCA & Twenty10 are teaming up for an epic museum takeover!

On Saturday 4 March, at dusk, we invite you to gather at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia on Tallawoladah, The Rocks, for GENEXT x PRIDE, WorldPride’s biggest under 18s event!

Show off your creative side through fashion and art-making. Get your dance on to some live music and beats. Check out an art exhibition or artist performance or make a new friend! This unique program is for one night only, created and led by young people for young people.

GENEXT x PRIDE will be a celebration of diversity, creativity and community, inviting all young people to contribute to a shared dream of a safe, proud and equitable future for LGBTIQA+ people globally.

Since launching at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia in 2005, over 32,000 young people have experienced GENEXT. The program is created and led on the night by members of the MCA Youth Committee, a group of 30 young people from across Greater Sydney. GENEXT is proud to be an inclusive, safer space that empowers young people and invites connection and belonging. GENEXT is a parent- and teacher-free event that is supervised by MCA staff, gallery hosts and artist educators. This event will also be supported with staff from Twenty10.
