For Artists, Producers and Promoters

WorldPride Official and Pride Amplified

Sydney WorldPride is excited to work with artists, producers, companies and promoters to create a compelling, bold and adventurous festival program that reflects the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community and encourages participation in LGBTQIA+ arts and cultural events.

The festival will include performance, literature, digital art, visual arts, public art, food, fashion, film, parties, music, history, community events and other arts and cultural experiences that aim to represent all aspects of our LGBTQIA+ communities including First Nations and the Asian Pacific perspectives.

There are two program streams:

WorldPride Official, which includes all our major events and a full arts and culture program curated by our Creative Directors Ben Graetz, Daniel Clarke and a team of Curatorial Associates

We are prioritising projects that engage with artists, project participants or audience members from communities who have often been under-represented in LGBTQIA+ arts and cultural festivals including: First Nations People’s; Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people; People with disability and/or people who are d/Deaf; Transgender and Gender Diverse people; People with Intersex variations; Women; Elders/Seniors; and Youth.

Sydney WorldPride is developing its arts and cultural program through a partnership model in which we invest in projects that will be presented in partnership with external producers and presenting organisations from across the sector.  To date we have invested $700,000 into creative projects across the sector to support the development of new art for the Festival.

A further $300,000 of investment into Creative Projects is currently available in a partnership with Create NSW.  If your project requires financial support from Sydney WorldPride please read the guidelines and apply through this opportunity. Further details below.

Pride Amplified is an open access program, inviting LGBQTIA+ events to join the WorldPride Festival. From parties and experiences to theatre, drag shows and community gatherings, free and paid events of any size and type can apply to be part of the Pride Amplified program.

This is an opportunity to show the world what we have to offer and the diversity of LGBTIQA+ brilliance in Australia.

The approval process will be straightforward; you will demonstrate your event has a genuine connection to the LGBTIQA+ community, and meets some simple criteria (eg the event occurs during WorldPride), which will be published at the time of applications opening. Successful applicants to Pride Amplified will be required to pay a registration fee and will be featured on the website and included in the printed program.

Please ensure you are subscribed to our newsletter to hear when registrations for Pride Amplified open, however if you a party promoter you can pre-register now. Further details below.
