Partners in Pride: MECCA MAX Partners with Sydney WorldPride 2023

MECCA MAX will be serving colour and confidence (to the MAX!) as an official Supporting Partner of Sydney WorldPride and Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras 2023.

MECCA-Maginations’ General Manager, Alexandra Bokeyar said the partnership reflects MECCA MAX’s values of celebrating self-expression through colour.

“We can’t wait to bring our brand’s vibrant, kaleidoscopic colours and values of self-expression and inclusivity to such an important event at WorldPride’s first ever Southern Hemisphere extravaganza.

MECCA MAX was designed for experimentation, personalisation and fun, and as allies of the LGBTQIA+ community, we can’t wait to get everyone party-ready to celebrate Sydney WorldPride,” said Bokeyar.  Dreamt up by the MECCA team as a celebration of authentic artistry – and the answer to more inclusive, accessible and joy-sparking colour cosmetics – MECCA MAX exists to amplify the company’s ambition to create a world where everyone feels seen, welcomed and special – just the way they are.

Across the 17-day event, MECCA MAX will be serving makeup to the MAX, ensuring everyone looks and feels their best. Top MECCA makeup artists will be flexing their skills behind the scenes, and on-ground for everyone to enjoy – think MECCA MAX Glam Studios for complimentary touch-ups, live Beauty School sessions, and so much more.

Sydney WorldPride CEO Kate Wickett said “Sydney WorldPride is absolutely thrilled to be partnering with MECCA MAX, a strand of the MECCA family committed to inclusivity and to supporting all people from across the spectrum of the rainbow to feel as confident on the outside as they feel beautiful on the inside”

Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras CEO Albert Kruger said “Self-expression is a core value of Mardi Gras, so we’re delighted to be partnering with a brand like MECCA MAX who put celebrating individuality and self-expression at the heart of their business. We’re looking forward to seeing all the fabulous ways they activate across our 2023 Festival.” Having collaborated with the likes of Minus18 and The Equality Institute in the past to educate the MECCA team, enrich its diversity and inclusion efforts and to support and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ communities, it is with genuine care and admiration (and an unwavering desire to bring everyone’s rainbow-glitter fantasies to life) that MECCA MAX have formed this very special – and aptly colourful – partnership with Sydney WorldPride and Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
