Event Producers
Sydney | Two Full Time Roles
Reporting into the Major Events Producer and the Executive Producer, the Event Producers will lead, facilitate and project manage the development, planning and the delivery of world class events during the Sydney WorldPride Festival in 2023.
The Event Producer will need to encourage an open, communicative and progressive working style that expresses the values of Sydney WorldPride. This opportunity would best suit those who are based in Sydney.
Event Coordinator
Sydney | Full Time
Sydney WorldPride is recruiting an experienced individual to join the team as Event Coordinator.
Reporting into the Major Events Producer, the Event Coordinator assists with administrative, financial, creative tasks relating to the preparation of the production, planning, organisation and implementation of SWP Major Events and partner-produced events during the Sydney WorldPride Festival in 2023.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator to experience all facets of festival planning and delivery, sitting across the full calendar of events and projects for a global festival
First Nations Producer
Sydney | Full Time
The First Nations Producer will lead, facilitate and project manage the development, planning and the delivery of world class events and activations during the Sydney WorldPride Festival in 2023.
These include but are not limited to:
• First Nations Gathering Space
• First Nations Gala
• First Nations inclusions or activation at any other Sydney WorldPride events (eg Opening segment at
the Opening Ceremony)
This role will help ensure First Nations protocol and best practices are implemented across all events. They will work closely with the Festival Creative Director – First Nations, Festival Creative Director, First Nations Engagement Manager and First Nations Advisory Committee to create events that showcase LGBTQIA+ Brotha Boy and Sista Girl communities across the region, especially First Nations communities, in line with Sydney WorldPride values and goals.
Accessibility Manager
Sydney | Part Time
Sydney WorldPride is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Accessibility Manager.
Reporting into the SWP Executive Producer with a dotted line to the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi
Gras Executive Producer, and working closely with all Sydney WorldPride and Sydney Gay Lesbian
Mardi Gras staff, the Accessibility Manager oversees and assists with the facilitation of the Disability
Inclusion Action Plan. The Accessibility Manager’s key purpose is to address the barriers that D/deaf
and disabled people face when accessing SWP/SGLMG events.
This role includes sourcing, contracting, logistics, general administration and implementing accessibility initiatives for SWP/SGLMG staff, volunteers, performers and audiences. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with suppliers, event
agencies and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. This opportunity would best suit those
who are based in Sydney
Sustainability Manager
Sydney | Part Time
Sydney WorldPride is looking for a talented Sustainability Manager.
Reporting into the Executive Producer and working closely with all Sydney WorldPride and Sydney Gay
Lesbian Mardi Gras staff, the Sustainability Manager will assist in developing a Sustainability Plan and then
oversee and assist with the facilitation of the Sustainability Plan across both organisations. This includes
sourcing, contracting, logistics, administration and budgeting.
To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with suppliers, event agencies and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. This opportunity would best suit those who are based in Sydney.
Pride Villages Producer
Sydney | Full Time
Reporting into the Executive Producer, the Pride Villages Producers will lead, facilitate and project manage the development, planning and the delivery of Pride Villages project during the Sydney WorldPride Festival in 2023, including engagement with the local businesses and community.
The Pride Villages Producer will need to encourage an open, communicative and progressive working style that expresses the values of Sydney WorldPride. This opportunity would best suit those who are based in Sydney.
Social Media & Content Manager
Sydney | Full Time
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the primary purpose of this role is to plan and deliver the full social media offering for Sydney WorldPride, including creating and commissioning content, community management and reporting.
