Qantas

As our national carrier, Qantas has a longstanding history of actively supporting and contributing to  equity for LGBTQIA+ communities – including being one of the largest employers of LGBTQIA+ Australians, demonstrated through their strong internal pride network including allies as well as LGBTQIA+ employees.

Qantas’ contribution to the community goes far beyond their workforce, with Qantas CEO Alan Joyce being a founding member of Pride in Diversity and challenging sponsorship partners to holistically consider their LGBTQIA+ inclusion policies and procedures. Moreso, Qantas has been considered one of the most outspoken corporate organisations in support of Marriage Equality throughout the 2010s.

We value our people’s diverse lived experience and believe that our inclusive culture contributes to our strength and success. Our diversity of thought and experience helps us to understand our customers, make better decisions and get things done safely. Our aim is to build a safe and inclusive culture by championing equity and celebrating diversity. We continue to focus on key pillars of our Inclusion and Diversity Strategy with a spotlight on gender balance, including our new three-year gender target, delivery of the Qantas Group Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and initiatives across our LGBTQI+ and Accessibility programs.
