Rainbow Colonnade at EDDY

Central Station
TfNSW

The heritage-listed Sydney Terminal Building at Central Station is being transformed into a welcoming new day and night destination by restoring one of Sydney’s signature sandstone buildings to its former glory. The revitalisation will breathe new life into the Sydney Terminal Building, Eddy Avenue and Eddy Avenue Plaza as part of the renewal of Central Precinct.

Alongside the Terminal Building revamp, Eddy Avenue has recently seen 15 new pop up retailers join six existing businesses, to show customers and the wider community what a renewed Central Precinct could look like in the future. This exciting pop up activation known as EDDY has something for everyone – from events to shoe cleaning services and a cinema and bar.

To celebrate WorldPride 2023, rainbow lighting is coming to the colonnade along Eddy Avenue.

The project is part of the Transport for NSW’s Safer Cities Program and The Festival of Place, a place-based, citizen-led, and multi-disciplinary festival that shines a light on the value of our great public spaces and the stories that enrich them.
