Sian Harris (she/her) is a Kurnu Paakantyi woman; a Blak queer person; as well as artist, educator, and community care worker. She is a self-presenting Blak queer person who aims for equity, visibility, and safety for our LGBTQIASB+ communities. She creates artwork that decolonizes queerness and volunteer time with local LGBTQIASB+ folks. She is the current interim president of Mallee Pride (a queer advocacy and support group in the Sunraysia region).  

Sian is currently focussing on working with local queer youth (Team Family Queer Youth Voice), especially Blak, First Nations, and Gender Diverse individuals and their families to foster community and come together in:  

  • Reducing social isolation  
  • Experiencing respectful relationships  
  • Building connections and staying connected  
  • Design and co-design of projects  
  • Influencing fun activities  

She is a visible/vocal community member, advocate, and agitator.
