We are thrilled to be presenting the Runway category at this year’s Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Sissy Ball! Do you have what it takes to bring it to the runway and take home the $500 prize?

Always a highlight of the Mardi Gras season, Sissy Ball will be upping its ballroom game more than ever this year, celebrating self-expression, identity, fluidity and finesse on Sunday 3rd April at the iconic Sydney Town Hall. Expect legendary house battles, music provided by fabulous DJs, and performance art showcases throughout the night. Originally scheduled for February but called off due to COVID restrictions, we’re thrilled the event could be rescheduled – who says the Mardi Gras celebrations have to end?!

With nine categories to choose from walkers will be spoilt for choice. Are you fresh to the ballroom scene? There’s a Virgin Vogue category just for you! Consider yourself a pro? Why not enter into our Runway category, where the bird of paradise is your mood board. Think vibrancy and colour; the judges will be watching to make sure all walkers serve the theme in some shape or form. Check out all the categories and enter yourself here.

If you fancy yourself as more of a voyeur, that’s not a problem either. Final release standing and VIP tickets are available here, so buckle up and prepare to witness the most glamourous throwdown Sydney has ever seen.

Sissy Ball is on 3 April at Sydney Town Hall. Tickets here.

Sissy Ball will be back in 2023 as part of Sydney WorldPride! Register for the presale here.
