Sydney WorldPride tickets at general on-sale
The demand for the Sydney WorldPride pre-sale surpassed all expectations, and we’re happy that so many of our LGBTQIA+ family will be joining us in Sydney next year.
We realise many people did miss out on pre-sale tickets, but rest assured there will be tickets for every event that was in our pre-sale available in our general public on-sale which starts Friday 15 July 2022 at 9AM AEST. In a different time zone? Here is a time converter.
The general public on-sale doesn’t need any special codes, links or emails, but we’ve prepared a cheat sheet for you below.

THINGS TO KNOW
- You can go straight to the ticketing retailer to buy your tickets from 9AM AEST Friday 15 July. You don’t need to go via the Sydney WorldPride website, or via any email newsletters.
- To keep it fair for everyone, we are maintaining the 6-ticket limit, per customer, per event for general on-sale.
- Moshtix is the official ticket retailer for most of our events, however due to venue requirements, we are also selling tickets for some specific events with different retailers as detailed below.
- We’re not sending out all the tickets for events right now, rather you will receive an email with your tickets closer to the event date. As such, if you see any tickets listed on sites like Viagogo, Gumtree or Facebook Marketplace do not buy them.
TIPS
- “GA” or “general admission” means standing (or dancing!). For Live and Proud: Sydney WorldPride Opening Concert, there are allocated seating options, but if you choose the GA area you’ll be able to sit on the grass or BYO picnic rug.
- “Fast Lane Access” entitles the ticket holder to fast lane entry to the venue and fast lane at bars.
- “Release” refers to the stage of party ticket release and the associated price e.g. “first release” is the first batch of tickets, and “fourth release” means the last batch. Mardi Gras Party has a fifth / final release.
- If you want to secure tickets to multiple events, plan with your friends e.g. one friend could be in charge of getting the Blak & Deadly: The First Nations Gala Concert tickets from the Sydney Opera House, whilst the other is in charge of getting your Domain Dance Party tickets from Moshtix.
MOSHTIX
- If you plan on purchasing tickets for more than one event via Moshtix you can save time by creating your account in advance. If you already have one, login in advance so you’re signed in ready to go.
- You will need to purchase each event in a separate transaction so make sure you are signed up and logged in with your attendee names and payment information ready to enter.
- There is no ‘basket’ feature on the Moshtix website; tickets are only secured once payment is processed so proceed through the purchase as quickly as you can.
TICKETEK
- If you’re buying Mardi Gras Party tickets, Ticketek recommend not entering the ticket page too early, not hitting ‘refresh’ on the busy page and creating your account in advance.
- Ticketek recommend saving your payment details in advance.
TICKETMASTER
- If you’re buying Live and Proud: Sydney WorldPride Opening Concert tickets, Ticketmaster recommend setting up your Ticketmaster account in advance. If you already have an account, they recommend logging into your account in advance as it may prompt you to update your password if you haven’t used it in a while.

🌈 FAQs
Are Sydney WorldPride and Mardi Gras not-for-profit?
Correct, both organisations are not-for-profit and Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is also a registered charity.
Is WorldPride a not-for-profit?
‘WorldPride’ is licensed by InterPride which is a not-for-profit with over 400 member LGBTQIA+ organisations around the world.
What happens to the ticketing income?
All ticketing income goes to deliver the Sydney WorldPride and Mardi Gras festival of events, including the major free events – Pride Villages, Pride March, Mardi Gras Fair Day and of course Mardi Gras Parade. The ticketing income alone is not enough to cover the cost of the festival, so we are grateful to our amazing government and corporate partners who help make Sydney WorldPride happen.
Are Sydney WorldPride and Mardi Gras the same organisation?
No, we are separate entities but are working closely together to deliver the Sydney WorldPride 2023 festival.
