Wilhelmina Stracke(she/her)

Wilhelmina Stracke is the Assistant Secretary of the Victorian Trades Hall Council, the peak body for trade unions in Victoria. She was previously a solicitor at Slater & Gordon before commencing as an organiser with the Australian Services Union in 2004. At the ASU, Wil worked with union members on workplace campaigns before stepping up into a Lead Organiser position as part of the ASU national ‘Equal Pay’ campaign to achieve wage justice for underpaid women workers in the community sector.  In 2013, Wil moved to Trades Hall to coordinate large scale and movement wide campaigns. In that role, Wil ran the Victorian ground campaign for the ‘Yes’ campaign for marriage equality.  In 2014 Wil was elected as Trades Hall Campaigns/Industrial Officer and in 2018 as Assistant Secretary.  Her Twitter, TikTok and Insta handle is @wilstracke
