The Art Gallery of New South Wales is staging an ambitious program of events, performances, and artist commissions to celebrate Sydney WorldPride 2023.
The project weaves its way through our galleries to foreground LGBTQIA+ artists, acknowledging the resonance of queer histories while also critically engaging with the past, and showcasing the breadth of contemporary queer practice. The WorldPride program takes over the Art Gallery’s two buildings from January to March, with new artworks intervening in collection displays and performances animating our new building, together creating a collective and inclusive celebration.
