Opera Up Late
Sat Feb 18 - Thu Feb 23
Sat Feb 18 - Thu Feb 23
Celebrate Sydney WorldPride with a night of queer romance, drag and music, hosted by Reuben Kaye.
We’re throwing open the doors to Australia’s most famous cultural icon — the Sydney Opera House — for a late night celebration for the ages.
Join your host, international cabaret star and opera lover Reuben Kaye, on a wild journey through the world of opera.
With re-imagined opera hits, a distinctively Australian flavour, and a few musical theatre and pop numbers along the way, this is no regular night at the opera.
Performed in the historic Joan Sutherland Theatre, this is the perfect way to experience the Opera House at Sydney WorldPride. Award-winning director Shaun Rennie corrals a group of fabulous opera singers and special guests, who’ll be sure to get the party started for seasoned opera lovers and total newbies alike.
Dress up (or down), climb the Opera House’s iconic steps, grab a drink and take your seats as we hit the high notes for Sydney WorldPride.
