The Glittering Mile

The Glittering Mile is where it all began. In 1978, ‘the party that became a protest’ started on Darlinghurst Road, and in 2023 we kick off with a street road closure and a day-to-night party to celebrate the first วันเสาร์ of Sydney WorldPride.

Expect roving performance, alfresco dining, chilled beers, camp cocktails and lots of people-watching. Relax in the sunshine or party into the night.

For the next two weeks explore the Kings Cross area – from five-star dining to rooftop partying, cabaret shows and cozy cocktail dens. There’s a full line-up of retail offerings, history talks and walks or live music, show tunes sing-alongs, design and art exhibitions. In 2023 all that glitters will be gold.
