This major exhibition takes a queer lens to the State Library’s vast collection, presenting more than 20 untold stories that celebrate LGBTQIA+ communities.

From hook-ups to ACT-UP, fag hags to drag kings, separatism to intersectionality, this exhibition shines the spotlight on lives, loves, industries and identities that have historically been overlooked and undervalued.

Experience an immersive display of photographs, posters, letters, scrapbooks, costumes, film and sound – as well as newly commissioned works from queer and trans writers and artists.

A dynamic public program of talks, screenings and performance supports the exhibition, featuring local and international LGBTQIA+ luminaries.
